W203H Water Vapor Permeability Tester based on the infrared testing principle, the Water Vapor Transmission Rate Tester provides a wide range and high efficiency of water vapor transmission rate testing for medium and high barrier materials. It is suitable for the determination of water vapor transmission rate of plastic film, composite film and other film and sheet materials, as well as a wide range of high barrier materials in the medical and building materials fields.

Principle
The instrument adopts the testing principle of infrared sensor method, the sample to be tested is clamped between dry and wet cavities at constant temperature, there is a certain humidity difference between the two sides of the sample, due to the existence of humidity gradient, water vapor will diffuse from the high humidity cavity to the low humidity cavity, in the low humidity cavity, the water vapor will be carried by the carrier gas to the infrared sensor, and the same proportion of the electrical signals will be generated when it enters into the sensor, and the water vapor transmission rate and moisture permeability coefficient will be obtained from the sample through analyzing and calculating the electrical signals of the sensor. By analyzing and calculating the electric signal of the sensor, we can get the water vapor transmission rate and moisture transmission coefficient of the specimen.
